Early Life and Career
Bruno Miguel Borges Fernandes was born on 8 September 1994, in Maia, Portugal. He began his football career at the youth academy of Boavista before joining Novara in 2012. He spent three seasons with the Italian club, making over 100 appearances.
Rise to Stardom
In 2016, Fernandes returned to Portugal and joined Sporting CP. He quickly established himself as a key player and helped the club win the Taça de Portugal in 2019. His performances caught the attention of Manchester United, who signed him in 2019 for a fee of £47 million.
International Career
Fernandes made his debut for the Portuguese national team in 2017. He has since become an integral part of the team and was instrumental in their victory in the 2019 UEFA Nations League. He is currently one of the most highly-rated midfielders in the world and is considered one of the best players in the Premier League.
