Tournament Field and Bracket Finalized

The 2024 NBA Playoffs bracket and SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament field are now set following the regular-season finale on Sunday. The East and West standings have been finalized after all games played.

The NBA Play-In Tournament is a preliminary postseason tournament that determines the final two playoff spots in each conference. The tournament will take place from April 16-19, with the first round of the NBA Playoffs beginning on April 20.

In the Western Conference, the Los Angeles Lakers, led by LeBron James, will face off against the New Orleans Pelicans, featuring the dynamic Zion Williamson, in the Play-In Tournament. The Lakers finished the regular season with a 43-39 record, while the Pelicans went 42-40.

On the other side of the bracket, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder, both with 42-40 records, will compete for the final playoff spot. The Timberwolves earned the tiebreaker over the Thunder based on their superior conference record.

In the Eastern Conference, the ninth-seeded Pelicans will face the tenth-seeded Thunder, while the eighth-seeded Timberwolves will take on the seventh-seeded Lakers. The Pelicans and Timberwolves earned their spots in the Play-In Tournament by finishing with better records than the Thunder, who were 40-42.

The NBA Playoffs are set to begin on April 20, with the defending champion Denver Nuggets entering as the top seed in the Western Conference. The Eastern Conference's top seed will be the Milwaukee Bucks.
